My story
Passionate about nature, I am a former museum educator, developing my creative side. I make botanical jewellery inspired by the wild flora of the French countryside in the Limousin where I live with my husband and cat.
I was born in the Netherlands and grew up with my parents and younger sister. My mother gave me the love for crafts. I still use the flower press she gave me when I was a child. My favorite holidays were in the forest on the Veluwe where I searched for animals, plants, elves and fairies! What I saw and experienced, fed my passion for the mystical world.
Curious as I was, I started studying Journalism. I tried to capture stories with words as best I could. After obtaining my diploma, I was able to use that skill well because I found a job in the cultural sector. I scoured archives and immersed myself in art history. I translated the stories of painters, artists and historical figures to a broad audience in the museum. In my spare time, I took courses in herbal medicine, floral design, ceramics, horse welfare and shinrin-yoku (the Japanese art of forest bathing). It gave me a broad life experience!
My why
After I emigrated to France, I finally got the time and freedom to let my creativity run wild. I still like to tell stories, but now about the symbolism that flowers and plants carry with them.
After many experiments and trials, I launched my first collection of jewellery in the spring of 2024. For the first time in my adult life, I feel like I have found something that resonates deeply with me and in which I can express myself authentically. It makes me look at the perfect imperfections of the natural world with different eyes. Being part of it and creating it together with nature is like a ritual for me. It reminds me where I belong and gives me peace and joy.
If I can help you to let your natural authenticity shine with my simple and elegant jewellery, my goal has been achieved!
